The Hella Experience is a 4-6 week (depending on the size of your organization) data-gathering, level-setting, and goal-setting process thoughtfully designed by Hella Social Impact to help organizations authentically and impactfully show up for racial justice.

As an organization, you have already started down the path towards a more inclusive and equitable future. Now, you just need help knowing how to get there.

The purpose of The Hella Experience is to:

  • Assess how your organization is currently showing up for racial justice

  • Provide feedback on how your organization’s internal values can better align with your external commitments and messaging 

  • Educate your team on the foundational theories of anti-racism, racial justice, and intersectionality 

  • Inform your internal and external communications strategy to powerfully tell your story as you move authentically and meaningfully along the Racial Justice Spectrum 

  • Design a customized and comprehensive racial justice roadmap

  • Transform your culture to support your organization’s anti-racist goals across the organization, at every level

Who leads the process?

The Hella Experience is held and expertly facilitated by a 2-3 person team from Hella Social Impact—Black and non-Black women of color with decades of experience in the areas DEI consulting, transformational facilitation, organizational development, executive leadership, marketing, communications, and public relations. 

How does it work?

 

Step One:
Onboarding

 

To kick off our time together, we begin by meeting the key team members—the folks who have been most responsible for holding the racial justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion work so far— as well as any key leaders. We also collect and review any and all relevant documents that will help us understand your racial justice journey so far.

 

Step Two:
Complete the Assessment

 

The real work starts with your company taking our comprehensive Racial Justice Spectrum Assessment ™. This allows us to level set, understand exactly how you are showing up for racial justice, and determine what work still must be done.

 

Step Three:
The Strategy Session

 

At Hella, we are transformational facilitators. Our approach to culture shifting includes guiding you through human-centered design practices which we reflect back to your employees, customers, and community through storytelling.

Our Strategy Session is a deeply moving, yet playful opportunity to bring your team together to discuss the results of the Racial Justice Spectrum Assessment ™, learn key concepts, practice living into your values, and co-create a plan for bringing racial justice to life in your organization and beyond.

Step Four:
The Action Plan

 

Following the Strategy Session, the Hella Social Impact team will synthesize all of the data and stories collected towards the creation of your customized racial justice Action Plan.  The Action Plan includes anti-racism KPIs/goals, alignment of internal values and external commitments, a communications plan, and a detailed proposal for how to continue the work ongoing.

 

Step Five:
The Integration

 

The final step of the process comes after your team has had the chance to discuss the Action Plan, formulate your questions, and consider next steps. We will come together to help you determine the best path forward towards implementation of the Action Plan in a way that best works for your team and available resources.
